How did you delegate the tasks during the cook with your partner?
One of the group members focused on boiling the pasta, and the other focused on the cooking the meat and pasta sauce. We both shared the role of cutting the vegetables as equal as possible.
What aspects of this cook did you find difficult and how did you overcome these?
We found it difficult to boil the pasta, as we filled the saucepan to high with water, and it began to bubble and foam a lot more then expected. To overcome this we turned down the heat, and had someone watching the pasta, to ensure the problem didn't reoccur.
What aspects of this cook did you enjoy and why? Elaborate on your 5 star rating
I liked the aspect of having to multitask between cutting the vegetables and managing my assigned role (meat/sauce), as it provided a difficult but enjoyable challenge. The only reason that the meal didn't receive a 5/5 was because the pasta was a bit under cooked and cold by the time we started eating it. The reason this occurred was likely poor time management from us, or because we had a break from cooking during recess (for about 20 minutes).
What new skills did you learn this week?
This week, a new skill I learnt was preparing pasta. I now understand the aspects of draining the water, monitoring the temperature and the ingredients that should be used when boiling pasta.
