Taste: Piquant, Creamy, Sweet, Sharp
Texture: Crumbly, Mushy, Soft, Smooth

Appearance: Brittle, Crumbly, Smooth, Appetizing
How does your recipe fit within the Australian guide to healthy eating? The recipe is composed of foods from 2 of the 5 food groups (butter, sour cream, cream cheese = dairy group, eggs = meats/fish/nuts/eggs group). Considering that the meal consists of mostly Oreo's, sugar and some dairy products that are rather high in fat, this meal is very unhealthy, and should only be ate occasionally
How did you delegate the tasks during the cook with your partner?
me and my partner delegated the tasks very similarly to last weeks cook. One of the group members collected the ingredients, kept the work station clean, and prepared the equipment for the meal, and the other group member, focused more on crushing the Oreo's, creating the mixture, and watching over the cheesecakes while in the oven.
What aspects of this cook did you find difficult and how did you overcome these?
We found it difficult to use the blender to blend the cheesecake filling, as the mixture would constantly either go up the sides of the bowl, or get stuck to the blenders (both of these resulted in us having to stop blending, and scrap the mixture back into the base of the bowl). We discovered that there was not real way to prevent the mixture from getting stuck to the blenders, but we found that using the blender to direct or reposition the mixture back to the base of the bowl worked perfectly.
What aspects of this cook did you enjoy and why? Elaborate on your 5 star rating
I liked how this week the ingredients and recipe we used were very straightforward and easy to follow, but we were still provided with lots of challenges (such as crushing the Oreo's and the mixture problem I mentioned above). It was enjoyable to be challenged, as without these challenges there would be no room for improvement. This week, once again my partner and I did a great job of preparing the cheesecakes, especially by evenly distributing and smoothing out the batter across the 12 separate cake holders in the tray. The only reason I gave the meal a 4.5/5 and not a 5/5 was because I found that the cheesecakes were very filling and after 1 or 2 they would make you feel a bit sick. However considering that it is an occasional treat and you wouldn't be expected to have too many, these meal was great.
What new skills did you learn this week?
A new skill I learnt this week was crushing. This week we were required to crush a bag of Oreo's, but i learnt the concept of having two bags to prevent the Oreo's from falling out, and how rotating the bag to evenly crush all Oreo's was an important aspect.
A brief history of this dish, 50 -100 words (where did it originate from etc)
There isn't much history on the Oreo cheesecake, as it is merely an alteration of the famous cheesecake, so I decided to discuss the history of the original cheesecake. It is believed that the first cheesecake was created on the Greek Island of Samos, as anthropologists discovered cheese molds there which were dated circa 2,000 B.C. Cheesecake was also considered a good source of energy in ancient Greece, and was served to athletes throughout the first Olympic games in 776 B.C..
